Group Lehesjoki
The work in the Lehesjoki group is focused on identification of genes underlying human inherited central nervous system disorders, in particular epilepsies. The group has positionally cloned several such genes underlying monogenic diseases. In specific disorders the work is continuing towards understanding the disease mechanisms.

The group will contribute clinical resources(epilepsy), and expertise in genetic mapping, cloning and functional analyses of gene products.
